What is the eVisa?

The eVisa is an online record of your UK immigration status. Instead of receiving a physical visa sticker in your passport, your status will now be stored digitally. Students can access and prove their status through a UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) online account.

According to the UK Home Office, this new system:

Before travelling to the UK, Sri Lankan students must set up a UKVI account using their passport number, personal details, and the email address used in their visa application. This account will serve as a central dashboard for viewing and proving immigration status throughout their stay.
